Philippines the Gem of South East Asia. It is very recently that people have started travelling to this beautiful place and getting to know about what it has to offer.

The start of the trip… drive to Mumbai is itself is a rollercoaster of feelings , fear of being late and missing flight , excitement of traveling to your dream destination, hoping to get a window seat on the flight … so many feelings at the same time. All the emotions and feelings came under control after arriving at the airport, getting the boarding pass, clearing security and immigrations and finally boarding our flight to Cebu via Singapore. We arrived at Cebu Airport and first thing was to exchange currency to Pilipino peso and rent a scooter to travel to Oslob which was 130Km away.

The View Enrote to Oslob

Oslob Whale Shark Watching
Whale Shark watching is a once in a lifetime experience as you get a chance to get close to these Whale Sharks which are known as one of the largest fish species and are as big a bus. We got a chance to swim and snorkel around them which was a whole new experience for me as i have never seen such a huge creature and, being almost 15 mts. distance from it inside the water was like a Rodies task for me, but it was an amazing experience. Next was Tumalog Falls which was unique in its own way, it’s not a heavy waterfall but just like multi layered sprinkler. In the afternoon, we were ready to hit the road with our backpacks and scooter, we were travelling to Moalboal and to visit the word famous Kawasan Falls.

Kawasan falls canyoneering
Kawasan falls canyoneering tour starts with a pick up from the resort and it is compulsory to hire a Guide for this tour and I would highly recommend it as well. The tour is full of adventure and high cliff jumping into the blue lagoon water and a few natural slides in the Lagoon Pool.

After some adventure and jumping around it was time to visit one of the most beautiful island in the Philippines, EL NIDO. We took a flight from Cebu to Puerto Princesesa and a van to El Nido which took us approx. 6 Hrs. to reach but every minute spent travelling was worth it when you see the spectacular Nacpan Beach. We did a Island hopping tour on the next day visiting the Helicopter Island, Matinloc Shrine, Secret Beach, Star Beach and Hidden Beach.

This was a lucky find for us as we just happened to see this zip line and it was one of the highlights of our trip zipping from a mountain with the sea below and the sky above and the wind blowing.

Coron Island

Coron Island is nothing less than paradise on earth; crystal clear waters with white sandy beaches, hot water springs and huge mountains around. We saw one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world at Mt. Tapayas which is hike of approx.724 steps up a steep mountain and takes around 30 minutes to reach the top. But all the hard work pays off when you reach and just wait for the sun to set.

Island Hopping around Coron

We did the must do activity in Coron, the Super Ultimate Island Hopping tour on which we saw Kayangan Lake, Barracuda Lake, Twin Lagoon, Siete Pecados , Skeleton Wreck, Malwawey Coral Garden, Bali Beachand Atwayan/Banol Beach.

Boracay – The Party island After soaking in all the beauty it was time to party and take a flight to Boracay, the world’s best island.Boracay has a lot to offer but we opted to just relax and party and enjoy the beach and make new friends.
